It's THAT time of the year again.. BOSM is back with a bang! After the enormous success of the silver jubilee edition of the BITS Open Sports Meet, we bring to you the 26th edition of BOSM with some really new and exciting events and workshops and an even higher level of competition.
BITS Open Sports Meet, more popularly known as BOSM is the annual sports festival of BITS Pilani, one of the premier technical colleges in India. Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) established in 1964 in Pilani, the birthplace of its founder and an eminent industrialist, Mr. G.D.Birla, has had a long tradition of imparting highest quality technical education to students from all over India.
BOSM is conducted with a firm belief that sports is an inalienable part of the educational process and a factor for promoting peace, friendship, cooperation and understanding among people. Colleges from all over India come to the small town of Pilani every year to battle it out for top honours. Wholly organised and managed by the students of BITS Pilani, right from scratch, BOSM has been a battlefield for many a college youth across the nation for the past many decades. BOSM provides an excellent platform for college students all over the nation and abroad, to showcase their talent in sports. This year, this sports extravaganza, to be held from 14th to 18th of September 2011, promises to be bigger and better than ever.
So gear up for BOSM 2011, to witness the highest order of sportsmanship and determination. With Grits, Guts and for Glory...
